We are so grateful to continue this outstanding partnership with Community Aid.

Community Aid Executive Director and Founder Glenn Chandler had a vision of giving back to his community and today was no exception.

This morning, Community Aid presented the American Red Cross with a check for $50,000 at its Thrift Store and Donation Center in Selinsgrove. Community Aid Selinsgrove Store Manager Sherry Johnson and dozens of Community Aid employees participated in the presentation.

“We are so grateful to continue this outstanding partnership with Community Aid,” said American Red Cross North Central PA Chapter Executive Director Tom Szulanczyk. “Their support goes a long way in allowing us to continue providing critical services and disaster relief to our communities every day.”

Thanks to the generosity and support of Community Aid, this past year, the American Red Cross was able to assist 717 families affected by home fires in central PA.

“This year the Red Cross is celebrating a century of serving Central Pennsylvania,” said Szulanczyk, “and thanks to partners like Community Aid, we look forward to serving our communities for another 100 years.”

All American Red Cross disaster assistance is provided free of charge and is made possible by the voluntary donations of time and money from caring individuals and, in part, by contributions given through the United Way. You can help people affected by disasters such as floods, fires, tornadoes and hurricanes by making a donation to support American Red Cross Disaster Relief.
