The American Red Cross Southwestern Pennsylvania Chapter hosted the annual Red Cross Ball at Pittsburgh’s Omni William Penn Hotel on Saturday, April 7, 2018. Roughly 300 people attended the event, which featured the presentation of this year’s Distinguished Leadership Award to William Lambert, Chairman and CEO of MSA-The Safety Company, for the large and lasting impact he has had in Southwestern Pennsylvania through his community leadership and charitable pursuits.

The Red Cross also presented the Firefighter Award to Patrick Hamilton, Firefighter with the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire, for exhibiting courage, bravery, and dedication that went above and beyond the call of duty. Patrick earned the award by becoming a living donor for a colleague in need of a liver.

Silent and live auctions, a cocktail reception, dinner, and dancing made for an unforgettable evening. Money raised from this year’s event will be used to support the many programs and services offered by the Red Cross.
