Paint the County Red Gala Coming to Indiana

We are pleased to be able to recognize Patricia who has given so much to the Red Cross during her volunteer service.

Patricia Simkins, a long-time volunteer for the Red Cross in Indiana County, will be honored at the fifth annual “Paint the County Red” Gala held by the American Red Cross of Chestnut Ridge on Friday, Mar. 18, from 5 to 11 p.m. at the Indiana Country Club.

“We are pleased to be able to recognize Patricia who has given so much to the Red Cross during her volunteer service,” said Dana Bauer, LSW, executive director of the American Red Cross of Chestnut Ridge.

The gala begins at 5 p.m. with a cash bar followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tickets cost $50 and include an evening of dining, live and silent auctions, door prizes and more. Entertainment will be provided by “Told Ya So!”

The live auction will be conducted by auctioneers Pete Stewart and Sons. Attendees can bid on prizes such as front row Pittsburgh Pirate tickets, club level Pittsburgh Steeler tickets, a guided fly-fishing trip to Spruce Creek, and a stay at a Seven Springs condo, among others.

Silent auction items include fine jewelry from Luxenberg’s, Vera Bradley tote set, overnight getaways at Mountaineer and Seneca casinos and more.

In addition to the live and silent auctions, guests have the chance to win one of more than 25 gift baskets filled with gift certificates, merchandise or complimentary services, or a mystery prize in a paint can.

All proceeds from the event will help the local Red Cross fulfill its lifesaving mission of preventing and alleviating human suffering in the face of emergencies.

Sponsors that have signed on to support the event this year include NRG Energy, Force Incorporated, The Reschini Group, S&T Bank, First Commonwealth Bank, and Robindale Energy Services, Inc. Additional sponsorships are available.
