After a nearly 20 year hiatus, The Chicopee Kielbasa Festival returned to Chicopee this past May 15-18. Under the direction of CEO Thomas J Kielbania Jr. for The Kielbasa Festival, LLC and in collaboration with event producers, Wicked Cool Productions, LLC, the annual event boasts interest in giving back to the community while staying actively involved in community awareness and culture preservation.
Discounted tickets to the Kielbasa Festival were available at participating Big Y World Class Markets throughout the region, where upon presenting a customer’s Big Y card would activate the ticket discount. As well as saving on ticket purchases, The Kielbasa Festival to donate $1 from each ticket sold to the Pioneer Valley chapter of The American Red Cross. The Festival is now contributing additional funds to facilitate a grand total of $2,000, to be presented to the American Red Cross.
This Friday, June 13th at 1:30pm, Thomas Kielbania will present executive director of the Pioneer Valley American Red Cross, Mr. Rick Lee, with the donation at Big Y World Class Market, located at 650 Memorial Drive, Suite 3 in Chicopee, MA.
Future collaborations between The Kielbasa Festival, The American Red Cross, and The City of Chicopee are currently being discussed, as CEO Thomas J. Kielbania Jr. seeks to develop a community skating rink. Although no current schedule exists for the massive project, Mr. Kielbania has expressed his excitement and fortune of the relationships that have been developed between said organizations.
