The American Red Cross of the Chesapeake Region has been selected as this year’s recipient of the American Red Cross Susan Hassmiller Nursing Award. This award was established in 2007 by former Board of Governors member, Susan Hassmiller, to enhance Red Cross local service delivery capacity through the increased engagement of nurses in policy, leadership and service delivery positions. The Chesapeake Region has been selected as the recipient of this award for its distinguished service to the Red Cross and commitment to further its humanitarian mission.
