Chesapeake Region Hires Regional Communications Director

BALTIMORE, MD – (January 9, 2014) – The American Red Cross of the Chesapeake Region announced today the hire of Brittany Fowler as the new Regional Communications Manager for the organization.

Fowler previously worked as the Communications and Marketing Manager for Susan G. Komen Maryland®, a local Affiliate of a national breast cancer organization, where she gained extensive experience in media relations, marketing, project management, crisis communications and fundraising. Prior to joining Komen Maryland, Fowler worked for the local Baltimore based public relations agency Weinberg Harris & Associates.

“We are extremely excited to have Brittany join our team of dedicated staff,” said Scott Salemme, Regional CEO of the Chesapeake Region. “We look forward to the insight and enthusiasm she will bring to the both the team and the organization as a whole.”

Fowler is a graduate of Towson University with a Bachelors of Science in Communications. She is originally from St. Mary’s County, MD and current lives in Baltimore City.
