Red Cross Opens Shelter in Lenawee County

The American Red Cross, Washtenaw-Lenawee Chapter is working with Lenawee County Emergency Management to open a shelter in Adrian, Michigan following severe storms that left many in the area without power. Power has been affected in the area. In addition, there is a cold front moving through the area this evening, which may make conditions difficult for some residents. The shelter will offer a warm place to stay.

Persons seeking shelter are encouraged to bring the following items if possible:

  • Personal identification
  • Appropriate bedding, blankets, and pillows
  • Prescription medications
  • Personal hygiene items
  • A change of clothes
  • Necessary items for infants or the elderly
