NILES, Mich., June 3, 2014 — The American Red Cross of Berrien and Van Buren Counties would like to thank the artists, community members, organizations, and businesses that participated in the 2nd Annual Red Fusion event on May 31.
About 200 people attended the event, which raised more than $45,000 thanks to support from artists and the community. During the event, artists created works of art that were auctioned off. Attendees were entertained by several music groups including the Mark Ficks Band, New Town Criers, and the Neon Strings Quartet. All of the proceeds will go towards disaster relief and Service to the Armed Forces programs with the American Red Cross.
“The Red Cross is so grateful for all of the people who came out to enjoy the evening and support a good cause,” said Breeze Ettl, Chapter Executive of the Red Cross of Berrien and Van Buren Counties. “The beautiful peaceful setting at Fernwood Botanical Gardens set the stage for creativity, art, and giving, and we are so appreciative of the support we received.”
The Red Cross of West Michigan would like to thank all participating artists including Inja Cho, Randall Higdon, Wendy Ritchey, Adam Thomas, Kristen Hosbien, Daniel Pannozzo, Susan Henshaw, Bob Williams, Robin Maxon, Betty Sitbon, Cheri McClain Beatty, Deb Hoover, Michele Gort, Richard Morse and Sebastian Sandu.
