Chapter to hold Trivia Night in Fulton

We wanted to keep a trivia night format, but do something that is more interactive.

Who are Bingo, Bango, Bongo and Irving?* This is a question that might come up at any trivia night held to raise funds for worthy causes.

The American Red Cross Heart of Missouri Chapter’s 1st Annual Trivia Night, which will be held Thursday, May 1 at the Fulton Country Club, 701 E. 10th St., is upping the ante on its inaugural event with at least one tasty twist. ‘Can you taste the difference between Backer’s and Frito Lay?’

“We wanted to keep a trivia night format, but do something that is more interactive,” said Clayton Kennedy, the chapter community market manager who is organizing the event. “Questions will be more engaging and fun.”

*Bingo, Bango, Bongo and Irving were the Mosquitos - a fictional rock band that appeared on an episode of “Gilligan’s Island,” a 1960s TV sitcom about a group marooned on an uncharted island. The Mosquitos, plagued by an adoring public and hectic lifestyle, traveled to the island to get away from it all. The band found the castaways from the SS Minnow also would not leave them alone and hounded them about getting off the island. The Mosquitos eventually snuck off the island and left the castaways stranded once again.
