StorageMart donates to American Red Cross

StorageMart of Columbia recently made two donations to the American Red Cross Heart of Missouri Chapter totaling almost $6,400.

StorageMart pledged to donate $15 to the American Red Cross for each unique review of their company submitted to the business review site Trustpilot.com.

The first month of the program had 205 new reviews submitted, generating a $3,075 donation. StorageMart is pleased with the program’s performance and plans to continue it for the time being, re-assessing its effectiveness at the end of each month.

StorageMart also donated more than $3,300, which came from the company and its participation in the Charity Storage program.

Charity Storage is a national program which donates proceeds from selected auctioned-off storage units to charity. The storage facility acts as a collection point for anyone wanting to donate other items to the auction.

Charity units are sold at auction with 10 percent of the proceeds going to the Self Storage Association Foundation, 30 percent to Kure It Cancer Research and the remaining 60 percent going to a non-profit organization of the storage facility’s choosing.

StorageMart chose the American Red Cross as its charity of choice.
