The American Red Cross Gaston County Chapter is pleased to announce that it has received a $10,000 grant from The Carrie E. and Lena V. Glenn Foundation. These funds are designated to support the disaster relief program.
"During times of disaster, people count on the Red Cross to help them in their darkest hour," said Daughtry Hopper, community chapter executive. "We are so appreciative of The Carrie E. and Lena V. Foundation's funding as their support makes it possible for the Gaston County Chapter to fulfill its humanitarian mission."
When disaster strikes, the Gaston County Volunteer Disaster Team immediately responds at all hours of the day and night - providing shelter, food, clothing, and emotional support to individuals and families who have been affected.
