"This is a special group that means a lot to me and the Red Cross,” -Nancy Young, Red Cross Volunteer

The North Central chapter of the Iron Warriors motorcycle club has made an annual ride to raise funds for American Red Cross disaster relief. It’s been an event that not only the riders look forward to, but also many of the Red Cross volunteers that attend.

“This is a special group that means a lot to me and the Red Cross,” said long-time Red Cross volunteer Nancy Young. “I look forward to this every year because these are such fun people to be around.”

A group of up of over 30 riders started the journey around the region at Woody’s Bar & Grill in south Fargo at Noon. Red Cross volunteers served them food, snacks, and water throughout the different stops on the ride. Several partners, including the Colfax Bar & Grill in Colfax, ND donated a portion of all sales that day to the Red Cross as well.

The group finished up the ride in the afternoon and wrapped up the event at Silver Dollar Flying Pig Bar & Grill in West Fargo around 5:00 p.m. with a dinner/silent auction. All proceeds went to benefit Red Cross disaster relief in the region.

The Iron Warriors Motorcycle Club is a non-profit organization of current and retired law enforcement officers and firefighters. The Iron Warriors own and ride V-twin motorcycles made by American-owned companies. The camaraderie of riding with like-minded individuals strengthens the dedication in providing assistance and support to communities, departments, families and members.
