The Finger Lakes Chapter of the American Red Cross will honor veterans of all wars at a Reconnection Brunch from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, May 28, at the Corning American Legion, 8 River Road, Corning.

The event is free and open to the public, and brunch will be served. The keynote speakers are Karen Aikman, Suicide Prevention Coordinator from the Bath Veterans Administration Medical Center; Katherine Muller, Commissioner of Steuben County Social Services; and Denis Oliver, Service Officer from the Steuben County Veterans Service Agency.

“The Red Cross is proud to host this annual brunch as a way to salute our veterans whose service to our country has enabled all of us to live in freedom,” said Linda Conway, Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) Community Leadership Volunteer, and chair of the Finger Lakes Chapter SAF Advisory Committee. “We’re thrilled that Karen, Katherine and Denis will join us to entertain our guests and provide important information for the veterans and their families.”

Anyone interested in attending the brunch should RSVP to the Finger Lakes Chapter at (607) 936-3766 or email Conway at linda.conway@redcross.org.
