As they do every year, this Nov. 7, at the Wells Fargo offices in Manhattan, 52 Wells Fargo employees assembled personal hygiene comfort kits for the American Red Cross to distribute to disaster-affected residents. Comfort kits include soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, washcloths, combs and more. A total of 670 kits were completed. That same day, Wells Fargo employees across the country assembled comfort kits at Red Cross offices throughout the U.S.
“As always, we had a great turnout in New York this year,” Jackie Yang, SVP, learning and development manager at Wells Fargo, said. “Our team members genuinely enjoy putting together the comfort kits for the Red Cross. Knowing these go to support families in need after a disaster, like Superstorm Sandy, is why we are proud to work with the American Red Cross each year for our National Day of Service.”
“Something as small as a toothbrush and toothpaste means so much to someone who has lost everything in a home fire,” Christopher LaBianco, Greater New York Chief Development Officer, said. “Wells Fargo understands the importance of helping others in their hour of greatest need. It has been a staunch partner in our region for over 10 years, and we are extremely grateful for its support.”
