Fastrac markets and the American Red Cross teamed up in July to help the Mohawk Valley and the Syracuse Nationals car show.
In early July, Fastrac donated $5,000 to the Red Cross for its disaster relief efforts in the Mohawk Valley. Although the company is now based in Syracuse, it has deep roots in the Mohawk Valley and the city of Rome, where the company was formed. Some of the people affected by the flooding are Fastrac employees.
On July 20, Fastrac – which provides the official fuel of the Syracuse Nationals – sold pizza and beverages at its display near the front entrance to the New Your State Fairgrounds, the site of the annual car show. Seven Red Cross volunteers worked alongside Fastrac employees to provide visitors with a quality dining experience. The volunteers also showed off their disaster relief skills when a heavy shower passed through, flooding the serving area.
Showing their support for the Red Cross once more, Fastrac donated $100 per Red Cross volunteer and will donate 20 percent of the proceeds from their sales on July 20 to the Red Cross.
The Red Cross thanks Fastrac for their support of the Red Cross and our community!
