The Ohio River Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross has selected Debbie Smith as Chapter Executive to lead the organization’s operations in Scioto, Pike and Jackson counties.
Debbie Smith comes to the American Red Cross with several years of management experience. For more than six years, Debbie has worked as branch manager of U.S. Bank in New Boston, OH. She also has 21 years of retail management experience including positions at Freidman’s Jewelers, Proffitt’s/Belk, and Marting’s Department Store.
The board is thrilled to welcome Debbie to the Red Cross team. Debbie’s experience in management and as a community leader will serve our organization well,” said Marty Redden, Board Chair the American Red Cross Ohio River Valley Chapter and manager of Fire Safety and Emergency Management at USCC.
Debbie was born and raised in Portsmouth and earned her Associate’s Degree in Business Management from Shawnee State University.
Along with her background in management, the married mother of two has served her community as a board member of Habitat for Humanity for the past six years.
Debbie’s first day at the Red Cross will be November 25.
