American Red Cross Delivering Resources to Homebound

American Red Cross Delivering Resources to Homebound
The Red Cross is prepared to assist the community as long as the water ban usage is in place.

The American Red Cross of Northwest Ohio is continuing to provide assistance to homebound individuals, the elderly, and those who are disabled and cannot leave their homes to find clean drinking water.

People who are homebound, elderly, or disabled can call 2-1-1 and be placed on a distribution list for delivery of water to their place of residence. People are encouraged to remain on the line and a representative will answer.

People who are not homebound, elderly, or disabled are encouraged to visit one of the free distribution sites throughout the city. Red Cross volunteers are distributing one case of water for each family at the following locations:

  • Springfield High School – 1470 S McCord Rd, Holland, OH 43528
  • Woodward High School – 701 E Central Ave, Toledo, OH 43608
  • Central Catholic High School – 2550 Cherry St, Toledo, OH 43608
  • Waite High School - 301 Morrison Dr, Toledo, OH 43605
  • University of Toledo Scott Park Campus - Nebraska Avenue and Parkside Boulevard, Toledo OH 43607
  • The Red Cross has also coordinated with local government and community partners to best serve those in need including Mobile Meals, the Area Office on Aging, United Way 2-1-1, Salvation Army, and the Air National Guard.

The Red Cross is prepared to assist the community as long as the water ban usage is in place.

Individuals wishing to make small in-kind donations may take them to the O.D.O.T. distribution center at 4080 Technology Dr., Maumee, OH.
