The American Red Cross is currently recruiting four AmeriCorps members for the 2014-2015 service term to be based in the Oregon Trail Chapter office. The following opportunities are available:

Red Cross Youth Club Coordinator – 1 position

Help shape our youth leaders of tomorrow.

The Red Cross Youth Club Coordinator will facilitate the activities of the Red Cross youth Clubs in Oregon by recruiting youth members and adult mentors, providing training and leadership, educating clubs about all service areas of the Red Cross and facilitating youth driven activities to support the mission of the American Red Cross.

  • Emergency Preparedness Coordinator – 2 positions

    Are you interested in helping your community become better prepared to respond to disasters? The American Red Cross is looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic person to serve with the Preparedness Department. The Emergency Preparedness Coordinator will teach the tenants of preparedness via presentations and outreach events to local community groups, assist in coordinating and staffing events, and develop additional partnership opportunities with community groups and organizations. This position will also recruit and train new volunteers, while working to further develop resiliency within the organization.

  • Youth Emergency Preparedness Education Coordinator – 1 position

    Help instill a culture of preparedness with students in your local community! The Youth Emergency Preparedness Education Coordinator will work with local schools to ensure the delivery of youth focused preparedness information for students ages pre-kindergarten through high school. This position will also schedule events, train volunteers in youth preparedness programs, and work with community partners to build program capacity.
