Karen L. Lutz has actively volunteered with the American Red Cross Wayne Pike chapter for the past year and a half. She volunteers within the areas of Office Support as well as the Chapter Blood Coordinator.
After Karen retired, one of her key goals was to support the local community by becoming an active volunteer. The American Red Cross jumped to the top of her list after a series of natural disasters occurred within past years, and Karen witnessed the American Red Cross' extraordinary response. Karen said, "I am inspired by the volunteers in the Red Cross. They save lives. They offer hope and comfort in times of loss and despair. They are special people who give their time, energy, and expertise to help others. I am proud to support this wonderful organization."
Linda Barney, the Wayne Pike chapter Office and Volunteer Manager, said, "Through her actions and communication with others one can see that Karen stands behind the mission of the American Red Cross." Linda also said, "We are very happy that Karen chose to volunteer for and become a vital part of our Wayne Pike Chapter Team."
Thank you Karen, for all that you do!
