The American Red Cross-Black Hills Area Chapter is delighted to announce a $9,093.58 grant from State Farm to support local disaster preparedness and recovery services.
The Red Cross in South Dakota experiences unique challenges given the vastness of our region and the pervasive poverty in our rural areas. The funding received from this grant will allow us to purchase 10 ADA/FEMA compliant cots for sheltering persons with disabilities, support disaster victims in their recovery process, purchase preparedness materials to educate our community and train volunteers to serve in times of need.
We are grateful to State Farm for supporting our community and the American Red Cross!
