Do you work in child care at your local church, or are you looking to make extra money as a babysitter or nanny? Maybe you are a new parent or grandparent looking for some advice? If so, the American Red Cross Advanced Childcare Training may be for you! The new class is being offered in Knoxville on Sunday, July 13th from 9:00am-4:00pm.
It comes as no surprise that safety is a parent’s #1 concern when choosing a sitter, and this course gives participants the skills they need to keep kids safe.
Through both online and in-class instruction, course participants will learn certification in Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED training, all of which have the potential to save lives in an emergency situation and can mean the difference between landing a childcare position or not.
Additionally, participants learn how to select age-appropriate activities, identify and work with behavioral issues, as well as obtain valuable business and marketing skills that can help them find and maintain clients.
Anyone sixteen years of age or older may register for the course. To register or to learn more, go to classes.redcross.org.
