"The American Red Cross is always the first to respond when disaster strikes"

The Big Give S.A. is a 24-hour day of giving that will take place from midnight to midnight on May 6, 2014. With 467 Bexar County nonprofits participating, there is a cause to fit your passion!

"The American Red Cross is always the FIRST to respond when disaster strikes," said Southwest Texas Regional Communications Manager Rafael Aviles. "That's why we are going to try and garner the most $10.00 donations during the FIRST HOUR of giving (12:00am to 1:00am)."  Its a simple process.  When the clock strikes midnight and the calendar changes from May 5th to May 6th, simply CLICK HERE, follow the online instructions and your done!

The purpose of this community-wide giving challenge is to increase public awareness of the impact local nonprofits make in addressing our community’s social challenges, bring nonprofits and donors together, expand the idea of online giving, connect people to the causes that move them the most and, of course, make giving FUN. By turning giving into a shared city-wide experience, we can significantly impact the future of San Antonio and collectively move our city forward. The Big Give S.A. is part of the national day of giving called Give Local America. Communities across the country are coming together on May 6.
