San Antonio, Tuesday, April 29, 2014 — The Southwest Texas Region of the American Red Cross has been asked to send two Emergency Response Vehicles (ERV’s) to Little Rock, Arkansas to aid in the relief efforts following the Tornadoes that touched down early Monday morning.

Of the two vehicles being sent, one is based out of San Antonio, the other is based out of Del Rio.  When asked what these crews would face, Pam Stokes a volunteer ERV driver from Del Rio said: "When we arrive we are going out to places where these folks have lost everything.  You know you never know how much a warm meal, a listening ear and a hug can mean at those times.

But it means more than most could fathom."
