Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah has selected the American Red Cross Utah Region as a Community Partner Organization for 2014 and part of that includes sponsoring the Red Cross Preparedness Campaign that is aligned with National Preparedness Month held in September. According to Utah Red Cross Region CEO Heidi Ruster “We are so pleased and fortunate to have the support of Regence on this campaign because their financial support will greatly enhance and expand our efforts to get the word out about the importance of being prepared for disasters and emergencies.”
The sponsorship includes a media campaign using television, radio, banners (downtown Salt Lake) and social media. Besides creating awareness the campaign will focus on important information such as the creation of a 72 hour kit. Also included will be tips for families on how to draft a personalized evacuation and communication plan.
Through this partnership, the Red Cross joins a select group of nonprofits that receive both significant funding and volunteer support from Regence and its employees.
