Red Cross helping families following apartment fire
“It’s a very difficult time for these families and we’ll be here to support them in every way we can,” said Felisha McNabb, Executive Director of the Mountain Empire Chapter.

On Tuesday, a four-alarm fire destroyed multiple units at the Country Club Crossing apartment complex in Marion.

Volunteers from the Mountain Empire Chapter and Woods River Chapter were on scene, providing shelter, food, clothing and emotional support to the 25 residents affected.

“It’s a very difficult time for these families and we’ll be here to support them in every way we can,” said Felisha McNabb, Executive Director of the Mountain Empire Chapter. “The best thing people can do right now is keep the families in their thoughts. This will be a long road to recovery for them.”
