Red Cross Announces Series of Free Preparedness Workshops

It is inevitable that every business will face some form of emergency

The American Red Cross will offer a series of free workshops throughout Wyoming in June to help local businesses and organizations improve their chances of surviving – and thriving – in the face of disasters and emergencies.

• June 1 –  Cheyenne
• June 3 – Gillette
• June 5 – Casper
• June 8 – Jackson
• June 9 – Pinedale
Participants are encouraged to take a free Red Cross Ready Rating assessment prior to the workshop; during the workshop, Red Cross preparedness experts will work with participants to analyze what their results mean and craft individualized plans for improving their organization’s level of preparedness for disasters and emergencies of all sizes.

“It is inevitable that every business will face some form of emergency, whether it’s a communications crisis, facilities emergency or a natural disaster,” said Troy Staples, Private Sector Preparedness Manager for the Red Cross. “Up to 40 percent of businesses fail after a disaster, and these workshops aim to ensure that your business or organization isn’t one of them.”
