The American Red Cross Southern Tier Chapter Real Heroes Breakfast honors everyday heroes from across our footprint who have saved the life of another. All members of the community are invited to participate in this powerful, emotional event by sponsoring a hero award or nominating an unsung hero today.

All event proceeds support the critical work the American Red Cross does in the Southern Tier, from blood donation, Veteran/Military member support, training services and emergency response.

Nominations

Nominate them by filling out the form below!

Nomination Guidelines

The story must have taken place within the 2025 calendar year.

Nominations are due by January 23, 2026.

Selected Heroes will be honored in 12 categories. See descriptions here.
Nominees must live in, or the action must have occurred in Steuben, Schuyler, Chemung, Tompkins, Tioga, Broome, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Otsego, or Sullivan Counties in NY, or Susquehanna County in PA.
If chosen as a Hero, nominees must be available for videotaped interviews in person or through virtual platforms.
If chosen as a Hero, nominees must be amicable to promotion of this event through various media platforms (social media, print and TV).
If chosen as a Hero, nominees must be available for the awards breakfast that traditionally takes place in May.
