Wade Walrond has been with the American Red Cross since 1999 and joined the Central and South Texas Region in 2014. In September 2023, he was appointed Regional Chief Operating Officer, overseeing mission service delivery across an 83-county area serving more than 9 million Texans. His career began in the Service to the Armed Forces and International Services (SAF/IS) division, where he held progressive leadership roles supporting military families and service members in locations including Japan, the UK, Germany, Italy, and across the U.S. In Texas, he led SAF/IS efforts at Fort Cavazos, Joint Base San Antonio, and Fort Bliss, and deployed to Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait to provide emergency communications and morale support to deployed troops.

Originally from Mobile, Alabama, Mr. Walrond now resides in Leander, Texas with his wife Elizabeth Schirk-Walrond and their two children, Hayley and Owen. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, camping, and riding both his bicycle and motorcycle.

Reihaneh Hajibeigi has been part of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement since high school, when she founded a Red Cross Club in Dallas, Texas. Her passion for humanitarian service continued through college at The University of Texas at Austin, where she remained active in the Red Cross while earning a journalism degree. Since joining the American Red Cross full-time in 2014, Reihaneh has held several impactful roles. She began as Executive Assistant to the Regional CEO, then advanced to Regional Volunteer Services Officer, where she led volunteer recruitment and engagement. As International Services Lead, she supported refugee and migrant communities, focusing on providing compassion and inclusion during humanitarian crises.

Reihaneh continued her career into fundraising serving as Chief Development Officer for Louisiana and the Texas Gulf Coast Regions. She now leads as Regional Chief Development Officer for Central and South Texas, overseeing development strategy, donor engagement, and revenue generation. She leads a team of fundraising professionals focused on sustaining the Red Cross mission through strong philanthropic partnerships. Reihaneh’s lifelong commitment to service is supported by her husband, daughter, and their bunny, Eeyore.

Danella Hughes joined the American Red Cross serving Central and South Texas as the Regional Disaster Officer in 2021. Prior to, Danella served three years with the American Red Cross Georgia as their Regional Disaster Officer.  As the Regional Disaster Officer, she places high value on leadership, volunteer engagement and diversity.  Danella consistently approaches Disaster Cycle Services with enthusiasm, drive, and focus.  She is a proven leader in times of crisis and has provided leadership during Red Cross responses including Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Florence, South Texas Floods, Hurricane Michael, Hurricane Dorian, and countless other large-scale disaster relief operations.

Prior to joining the Georgia Region, she served as the Executive Director for the Red Cross of South Texas for 2 years.  While there, Danella increased community partnerships, renewed confidence with elected officials and community leaders while supporting Chapter staff in growing a strong volunteer base. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. Danella, her husband Travis, and her stepson Carson, along with her Cocker Spaniel Percy, and her Springer Spaniel JoJo, are supporters of the American Red Cross through volunteerism, financial donations, and blood donations.

Delia Krippelz joined the American Red Cross in 2021 and quickly established herself as a passionate and effective humanitarian leader. As Regional Communications Director, she plays a vital role in shaping the region’s public presence, especially during times of crisis, helping reinforce its reputation as a trusted and responsive resource for communities across Central and South Texas. For Delia, her journey with the Red Cross is not merely a job; it represents a passion-driven commitment to making a positive impact.

A graduate of Texas State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication, Delia brings a rich background in municipal government and nonprofit work. She is also a proud graduate of the Hispanic Austin Leadership program through the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, gardening, exploring the outdoors with her dog, attending concerts with her husband, and discovering new restaurants in the Austin area.

Jennifer Miller is the Regional Program Director for Service to the Armed Forces. She oversees programming that supports military members, veterans, and their families from San Antonio to El Paso, including emergency communications, resiliency workshops, and volunteer engagement at Military Treatment Facilities. Before assuming her current role, Jennifer served as the SAF Chapter Program Director in the United Kingdom, managing Red Cross operations at U.S. military bases across England, Germany, and Italy. She was deployed to Romania from June to November 2023, where she led teams stationed in Romania and Bulgaria, and later served as Interim Regional Program Director for EUROMED, overseeing staff across the Mediterranean region.

Jennifer’s career reflects a deep commitment to global service and community health. She has held diverse roles within the Red Cross, including volunteer leadership in youth engagement, CPR instruction, and disaster preparedness. From 2019 to 2020, she worked with the Joint Clinical Research Centre for HIV/AIDS in Kampala, Uganda, contributing to a USAID-funded tuberculosis initiative focused on sustainable solutions in low-resource settings. Her international experience also includes serving as Assistant Director and Music & Movement Director at an international school in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Jennifer holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine, with a concentration in Community Health Promotion and Education.

Stacy Pickett first joined the American Red Cross as a Public Affairs volunteer in 2017. She quickly developed a deep connection to the humanitarian mission of the American Red Cross. In 2018 Stacy joined the Red Cross full-time as a Volunteer Recruitment Specialist serving the Permian Basin, where she spread the Red Cross message and enlisted community members to join in the mission of neighbors helping neighbors. When the COVID pandemic reshaped the volunteer landscape and presented unparalleled challenges, she transitioned to Regional Engagement Specialist. In this role, Stacy helped the organization navigate internal communications, keeping the workforce safe and up to date with the most current guidelines while also providing training support, technical writing and copy editing of internal and external documents.

Stacy has served as Regional Volunteer Services Officer since 2022. She leads a team of highly motivated young professionals in the recruitment and engagement of American Red Cross volunteers. Under her leadership, the Volunteer Services team ensures streamlined, flexible, effective programs, activities, systems and processes that allow the volunteer workforce to meet community needs. Stacy graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with an emphasis on professional writing from Southern New Hampshire University.
