Denver, February 12, 2019: Every day in Colorado there are events that disrupt lives and cause suffering. The American Red Cross has been serving Colorado for over 100 years, providing comfort and hope to people affected by disaster, teaching lifesaving skills and supporting our nation’s military. In addition to Red Cross volunteers, caring bystanders, trained volunteers and professionals, as well as our military are there when others are in need. 

Each year, we recognize people from our community, who have stepped forward in times of need at the American Red Cross Heroes Soirée. Recognizing local heroes is not only a rewarding and moving experience for us, but being able to celebrate those heroes publicly throughout our community and honor their efforts, are the highlight of the evening. 

This year, the American Red Cross is honored to recognize Alpine Bank as our title sponsor for this year’s American Red Cross Heroes Soirée. During the 2018 wildfire season, Alpine Bank generated more than $580,000 in donations for disaster relief. Alpine Bank not only exercises their heart through philanthropy but also through volunteerism. Alpine employees and their families volunteer for Sound the Alarm, the Red Cross initiative to save lives and make homes safer in communities at high risk for home fires.

The Alpine Bank American Red Cross Heroes Soirée will take place on March 8, 2019. This year we will be Celebrating Community and showcasing our local heroes at the Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum in Denver.
