In the months since Hurricane Ian devastated our Sunshine State, the American Red Cross has a source of hope and tangible help for communities still reeling from this catastrophic disaster.
Through the storm and its immediate aftermath, Red Cross disaster workers provided essentials like safe refuge and warm meals in those first few weeks provided safe refuge, nourishing meals, sorely needed relief supplies and emotional support to residents facing devastation. As time went by and operations began to transition from relief to recovery, we’ve provided crucial financial assistance to help impacted residents address urgent needs and begin to rebuild their homes and their lives.
Here is an overview of services provided during the first three months after Hurricane Ian:
