Christian is the Regional Chief Executive Officer, where her responsibilities extend across North and Central Florida. Prior to her position as CEO, Christian served as Chief Development Officer. She also provided full-service marketing, public relations, development activities and community outreach for Disaster, Health and Safety, Service to the Armed Forces, and International Services as the Director of Public Support, a position she held for 14 of her 27 years serving the organization. Christian has also served as a national and international spokesperson for the Red Cross in disaster preparedness, planning and response.
Shayra joined the Red Cross in 2019 as Executive Assistant to the Regional CEO where she functioned as a Chief of Staff and served as a member of the Regional Leadership Team. In 2022 she was selected as a member of the Leadership Cohort for the Red Cross Southeast Caribbean and Carolinas Division. Prior to working at the Red Cross, Shayra spent eight years with the Florida Legislature as a District Aide for two State Representatives in the Tampa Bay area where she worked with elected officials and their staffs at all levels of government.
Whitney serves as the Interim Chief Development Officer where she leads a team of fundraising professionals who are committed to ensuring that the Red Cross has the resources it needs to deliver its mission of preventing and alleviating human suffering in our communities. With 16 years of experience serving on the front lines as a fundraiser, Whitney has a passion for the mission and understands the need for the Red Cross has never been greater.
Amber leads media and social media strategies across seven media markets to amplify the Red Cross mission, bringing over 20 years of experience to the role. She has deployed in Public Affairs for more than 28 national and regional disasters—including hurricanes, wildfires, and mass casualty incidents—serving as a liaison to ensure critical information reaches communities when it’s needed most. A Florida native, Amber, joined the Red Cross in 2003 and holds a B.F.A. from the University of North Florida.
Kevin is a seasoned emergency management professional with over 20 years of service in disaster preparedness, response, and recovery. As the Division Disaster Director for the Southeast and Caribbean Division, he leads division wide efforts to build resilient communities and ensure rapid, coordinated responses to crises. Kevin works closely with local, state, and federal partners to strengthen disaster readiness and recovery systems, always prioritizing safety, equity, and long-term impact.
Joel brings over 20 years of experience in talent recruitment, counseling, and volunteer program leadership. He has held key roles at Edward Waters College, the University of North Florida, and Jacksonville University, where he most recently served as Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions. Joel has a strong background in community outreach, public speaking, and engagement strategy. He holds a B.S. from the University of Florida and an M.A. in Management and Leadership from Webster University. He lives in the Jacksonville area with his family.
Greg recently retired from the U.S. Army after 30 years, serving as a Soldier, Commander, Chief of Staff, Executive Officer and Operations Officer. His last assignment was with U.S. Army Garrison Bavaria in Grafenwöhr, Germany. His Army awards include three Bronze Stars, Meritorious Service Medals, the NATO Medal and other commendations. He holds a Masters Degree in Administration from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor’s from the University of West Georgia. He is married and lives in St. Petersburg with his wife and three dogs.
Terri is the Executive Director of the Northwest Florida Chapter of the American Red Cross. A Florida native, she returned in 2022 to take on the role after a long nonprofit career in Georgia, including leadership positions with the Children’s Advocacy Center, United Way, and the Turner Center for the Arts. She began her Red Cross journey as a board member before becoming an executive director in 2009. Terri holds a B.F.A. in Speech Communication with a Public Relations emphasis and is an alum of Leadership Lowndes. Her civic involvement includes service with Rotary, the Exchange Club, and the Red-Carpet Committee.
Mike joined the American Red Cross of Central Florida & U.S. Virgin Islands in September 2023 where he led the regional leadership team after 19 years with the organization in a variety of capacities. Prior to relocating to Tampa, he served as Executive Director of the South Alabama Chapter of the Alabama-Mississippi Region. With a focus on philanthropy, he also led the corporate fundraising team for the Metro Atlanta Chapter in the Georgia Region, and served as a disaster fundraising officer for National Headquarters.
Janice Moran started her career with the Red Cross as a public affairs volunteer in 2005 in Texas, where she served for about 2 years. After relocating to Florida, she rejoined as a volunteer in 2017 in Florida’s Space Coast Chapter, located in Daytona Beach, where she supported the disaster action team, community preparedness and public affairs. Later that year, Janice was selected as the Regional Communications Manager for Central Florida, and in 2019 she was named Executive Director of the Greater Orlando Chapter.
