American Red Cross volunteers have responded to five separate fires in Monroe County in the past 24 hours, providing immediate emergency assistance for 16 people. Red Cross assistance typically includes vouchers for temporary housing, food and clothing as needed, and Disaster Mental Health volunteers are available to help with the emotional aspect of disaster. Those affected will meet with caseworkers in the coming days to work on a longer-term recovery plan.

·         Arch Street, Rochester (Tuesday, 4/11)
Four people assisted

·         Depew Street, Rochester (Tuesday, 4/11)
Four people assisted

·         Juliane Drive, Gates (Tuesday, 4/11)
One person assisted

·         Flower City Park, Rochester (Wednesday, 4/12)
Six people assisted
