The Tiffany Circle is a community of women who advance the American Red Cross mission through the investment of time, talent and treasure to engage with all lines of service and work with other women locally, nationally and internationally. Tiffany Circle first formed in 2006, with Nashville being one of the original founding chapters. Today, the Tennessee Region continues to grow its Tiffany Circle presence with the introduction of a new Tiffany Circle group in the Tennessee River chapter.
“I’m really excited to kick everything off,” Alexis Goines says. “I think it’s a great opportunity for us to get women locally involved.”
Alexis is the new Tiffany Circle Chair for the Tennessee River chapter. Bringing the Tiffany Circle to the chapter has been in the works since Alexis first became a board member two years ago. She says she felt like the community had the capacity and passion to bring this part of the American Red Cross to Clarksville.

“We just started talking with people and kind of creating a community here,” Alexis says. “I was actually able to be the first donating member here in Clarksville, which is pretty cool. And just seeing how everything worked and how it came full circle was such an honor.”
To join the Tiffany Circle, members must donate $10,000 annually to support the organization. This is a nod to the historic stained-glass windows in the Board of Governors Hall at the American Red Cross national headquarters in Washington, D.C. Installed in 1917, the windows cost $10,000 and were jointly purchased by women of the north and south as an act of reconciliation and hope.
To celebrate the beginning of the Tiffany Circle at the Tennessee River chapter, the ladies hosted an event called “A Toast for Tiffany Circle” in early March. Community members alongside Red Crossers were invited to come together to learn more and celebrate. Keri McInnis, Chair of the Nashville Tiffany Circle, was the keynote speaker for the event.
There are currently 86 Tiffany Circle members in Nashville and over 100 in the Tennessee Region altogether. Right now, the Tennessee River chapter has only two Tiffany Circle members, but their goal is to add at least three more in the next year. Alexis says they have received support from the Nashville Tiffany Circle.
“We’re taking those first steps, and I really look forward to seeing things flourish in the next few years,” Alexis says.
