The 2019 Valero Texas Open, Birdies for Charity® fundraising campaign is underway and the American Red Cross invites you to support us through Birdies for Charity®, an exciting fundraising program linked to the Valero Texas Open, the 3rd oldest tournament on the PGA TOUR schedule.
Over the past 20 years, Valero Texas Open has helped hundreds of local non-profit charities and schools raise money through Birdies for Charity®. This no-cost program gives 100% of the funds raised back to participating organizations.
This year, our goal is to raise $10,000 in support of our Service to the Armed Forces program in greater San Antonio. For more than 130 years, the Red Cross has served America’s military members and their families.
By supporting the American Red Cross, you may be eligible to receive the following donor benefits:
- “Guess the Birdies” and a Stay-and-Play Package: To add sizzle to the program, you can guess how many birdies will be made during the Valero Texas Open. If your guess is correct, you could win a Stay-and Play Package to JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country and TPC San Antonio. In the event of a tie, a tie-breaker event will determine the winner. And if not one guesses correctly, the computer will randomly select a winner… and it may just pick your name!
- Attendance Drawing -- Donors who make a contribution through Birdies for Charity and also attend the Valero Texas Open (April 4-7) shall stop by one of the Donation Stations located at both the main gate and VIP spectator entrances to check in and get entered into the drawing. The winner will earn the charity they supported a $20,000 donation in their honor. Check in each day to earn additional entries into drawing (up to four entries/person). The lucky donor will also win a wonderful & exciting prize of their own to enjoy – please stay tuned for an announcement of what the donor prize will be for 2019.
Click HERE to donate today! Donations end April 12, 2019.
