The American Red Cross is proud to announce the construction of the Central and South Texas Regional Headquarters, our new facility in East Austin designed to empower communities across Central and South Texas.
By bringing together a permanent blood donation site, disaster response operations, and volunteer coordination in one community hub, this center will expand our capacity to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies. It’s more than a building; it’s a commitment to readiness, connection, and the enduring strength of our communities.
The Central and South Texas Regional Headquarters is about more than bricks and mortar. It’s about building resilience from the inside out: strengthening our blood supply, empowering volunteers, and ensuring we’re ready to meet every challenge with compassion, courage, and care.
The new headquarters is being built at 2218 Pershing Drive, Austin, TX 78723, the longtime home of our Central Texas chapter. Located in East Austin, the site remains easily accessible to volunteers, donors, and staff from across Central and South Texas.
Groundbreaking took place on October 29, marking the beginning of a new era in regional preparedness and community care. Construction is expected to be completed by Spring 2027, and we look forward to opening our doors to the public soon.
