We are building a new Red Cross Regional Headquarters in Austin - a significant investment that transforms how we serve clients, partners, and neighbors in need. For the first time, the facility will include a blood collection center, dramatically increasing our ability to provide lifesaving blood products across Texas.
For the first time in our history, the Red Cross headquarters in Austin will include a permanent state-of-the-art blood donation center allowing us to collect more blood and blood products to better meet the needs of our community.
This building will be nearly 15,000 sq ft and provide ample space to expand our ability to train volunteers, manage necessary resources for disaster response and provide a comfortable and welcoming space for clients to conduct their recovery casework. When disasters strike, this building will be better equipped to serve as the headquarters for disaster relief operations leveraging efficient technology and resources for seamless mission response and delivery.
This building will serve as a community hub for other social service partners to work together alongside the Red Cross to ensure we can provide well-rounded support to neighbors in need.
