Tina Dean became the Executive Director for the American Red Cross of Northwest Georgia on May 24, 2025. She oversees the Red Cross mission across 15 counties (Bartow, Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, Dawson, Fannin, Floyd, Gilmer, Gordon, Murray, Pickens, Polk, Walker, Whitfield, and Union). Under her leadership, more than 767,000 people benefit from Red Cross programs and services, including lifesaving blood, disaster preparedness, response and recovery support, training in lifesaving skills and emergency services for military and international families.
Dean’s Red Cross journey began over a decade ago as a volunteer in the summer of 2013. Later that year, she became an employee in manufacturing at the Douglasville Blood Processing Center. In 2014, Dean transitioned into Donor Recruitment for Biomedical Services, where she held various roles, including Account Manager. Most recently, she supported Cherokee, Pickens, and Fulton counties, rebuilding this territory post-pandemic alongside corporate, educational, religious, civic and community organizations.
Dean earned national recognition through the President’s Club (2020, 2021, 2023, and 2024) and at the regional level, receiving the Georgia Account Manager Goal Achievement Award in 2023. She has served on multiple local healthcare advisory boards and is a proud graduate of the Douglas County Chamber Foundation, Leadership Douglas Class of 2021. Dean attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville and shares life’s adventures with her husband Kurt, their three children and doodle, Kallie.
