FLORENCE, Colo. — The American Red Cross of Southern Colorado has opened an overnight shelter at the Pathfinder Park, located at 6655 Colorado State Highway 115, Florence, Colo., following evacuation orders related to the 24 Fire burning in portions of Fremont, Pueblo and El Paso counties.
Anyone impacted by mandatory evacuation or pre-evacuation orders can seek refuge at the shelter. All are welcome in Red Cross shelters, including pets.
Red Cross volunteers are providing immediate needs, supplies, support and information. Food and water are available at the evacuation center, as are medical services and mental health services.
