PAGOSA SPRINGS, Colo. (Oct. 28, 2026) – The American Red Cross of Western Colorado has opened an evacuation shelter at the Pagosa Lakes Property HOA Clubhouse, 230 Port Ave., Pagosa Springs, Colo., following widespread flooding and subsequent evacuations.
Volunteers are providing refuge, sharing information, and helping with immediate needs. The evacuation center also provides food, water, medical care, and mental health support. This shelter is pet-friendly.
Red Cross shelters are open to everyone in need, regardless of race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or citizenship status, and all disaster assistance is free. We don’t require people to show any kind of identification to enter a shelter, just their name and where they have been living.
