The American Red Cross of Southeast Georgia was established on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 1917 and has serving the community for over 100 years. The office provides Red Cross services in 18 counties. We serve Appling, Brantley, Bryan, Bulloch, Camden, Candler, Charlton, Chatham, Effingham, Evans, Glynn, Liberty, Long, McIntosh, Montgomery, Tattnall, Toombs and Wayne counties.
When a disaster threatens or strikes, the Red Cross provides onsite and follows up assistance helping clients with a place to stay, food emotional support, comfort items and clean up kits.
The American Red Cross also provides communication between those in the Armed Forces and their families. We help military families send emergency messages and also brief families facing deployment on how to access our services anywhere in the world.
We depend on volunteers of all ages and backgrounds to carry on the work. Volunteers constitute 97 percent of our total workforce, serving as members of the Board, instructors teaching lifesaving skills, disaster action team members, office administrators, event organizers and more.

Adults and teenagers (aged 15-17) are encouraged to apply and engage in meaningful opportunities for education, training and community service.
You don’t need a special reason to give blood. You just need your own reason. Maybe you were asked by a friend or relative, or maybe you believe it's the right thing to do. Whatever your reason, the need for blood donors is constant, and your contribution is important for a healthy and reliable blood supply. You'll also feel great knowing you've helped change a life!
Your donation powers the Red Cross response to an average of more than 60,000 disasters every year nationwide, providing shelter, food, emotional support and other necessities to those affected. By making a charitable donation to the Red Cross, you are there for millions of people who face emergencies every year and help as they rebuild their lives.
