On April 5, 2017, participating Thomasville restaurants will be donating a portion of their sales to the American Red Cross of South Georgia. Proceeds will be used to support disaster relief and other programs in Thomas and surrounding counties.

Last year, trained Red Cross volunteers responded to 18 disasters in Thomas County – primarily house fires – and helped 36 families / 80 individuals meet their urgent needs, including a comfortable place to stay, hot meals, safe drinking water, new clothing, and replacement of medicines and eyeglasses. The South Georgia Chapter assisted more than 800 people that experienced disasters, trained 1,656 in Preparedness Health & Safety and provided emergency communication through our Services to the Armed Forces Program to 289 members of the Armed Forces.
