Evansville, Indiana, June 5, 2023— The American Red Cross serving Southwest Indiana is proud to announce that Joy Cook has joined its board of directors.
Joy Cook is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Radiologic and Imaging Sciences Program at the University of Southern Indiana. Joy has been a professional in the field of radiology for the past 28 years, and 18 of those years have been in education. She holds five degrees from the University of Southern Indiana, with her most recent degree achieved being a Doctorate of Education.
Joy has several national and international publications focusing on radiology education and the improvement of practice within radiology. She is an international speaker on the topic of MRI burns and has chaired national and state committees in her profession.
“We are thrilled to have someone with Joy’s background and experience join our board as we continue to serve the communities within the Southwest Chapter,” said Beth Sweeney, Executive Director of the Southwest Chapter.
She is excited to have joined the Board of the American Red Cross in the Spring of 2023 and hopes to use her experience as a volunteer on national and state radiology non-for-profit boards to improve her community
