Brittney Rochell is an energetic, creative and innovative public relations professional with experience in media relations, internal and external communications distribution and crisis communications.
Brittney joined the American Red Cross in April 2017 as the Regional Manager of Communications with a goal of helping raise the public’s awareness of the Red Cross and the mission. In August of 2017, she was promoted to the Regional Director of Communications and Marketing where she has developed a strategy to increase the visibility of the Red Cross in Oklahoma.
Since joining the Red Cross, Brittney has developed partnerships with the University of Tulsa, University of Arkansas, University of Central Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University where she has engaged student volunteers in developing a comprehensive one Red Cross communication plan. Brittney has also completed Oklahoma City Connect program designed for new business leaders in the Oklahoma City metro market to meet and learn about their city. Brittney also serves on the Young Professional Board development committee for the Central and Southwest Oklahoma Chapter of the Red Cross, is active in the Public Relations Society of America and the Young Nonprofit Professionals of Oklahoma City. Prior to joining the Red Cross, Brittney worked at Oklahoma State University as a Communications Specialist for seven years. At OSU, Brittney was responsible for distributing news releases statewide and nationally, designing and sending all campus communications, managing a team of over 20 interns, as well as a host of other duties.
She obtained an associate’s degree in Interdisciplinary Sciences from Cameron University, and bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Agricultural Communications from Oklahoma State University. Brittney grew up in Duncan in southwest Oklahoma. She now resides in Yukon.
