The American Red Cross Chestnut Ridge Chapter hosted the Sixth Annual Paint the County Red Gala at the Indiana Country Club on Friday, March 17, 2017. Close to 200 people attended the event, which honored NRG Energy and featured silent and live auctions, an awesome dinner, and dancing late into the evening.

“This year’s event was extra special since it was our chance to celebrate 100 years of service in Indiana County,” noted Dana Bauer, Red Cross Chestnut Ridge Chapter Executive Director. “We were very fortunate to be able to share this special evening with our volunteers, donors, and friends.”

Following a reception and dinner, Bauer took time to recognize the impact NRG Energy has had on the Red Cross’ ability to deliver its services to the local community.

Bauer added, “The Red Cross is proud of our partnership with NRG Energy and is thankful for what we have been able to accomplish due to their continued support. In addition to being a lead sponsor of the Paint the County Red Gala, NRG has also been represented on our Board, and has supported our disaster preparedness initiatives throughout the area.”

The Red Cross is grateful to all of the volunteers and donors who have given so freely of themselves to improve the lives of others in the community and would like to extent a special thank you to the Indiana Country Club for their generous donations of the event’s appetizers, Mrs. Julie Silvis and Flower Boutique and Indiana Floral for the beautiful centerpieces, Mark and Tracey Dixon for being this year’s auctioneers, the IUP Red Cross Club, and Jamie Steetle for being this year’s official event photographer.
