Erie Insurance understands the value of creating safer and more resilient communities.
The American Red Cross Northwestern Pennsylvania Chapter received a $100,000 donation from Erie Insurance in celebration of the Red Cross’ 100 years of service to the local community and to support the Red Cross’ Prepare Western PA Initiative. The check was presented during the annual Erie Heroes Awards Reception held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017.
“The Red Cross Prepare Western PA Initiative strives to strengthen our disaster response systems and capacity, engage and empower additional dedicated volunteers, and build community resilience through disaster preparedness outreach,” noted Pam Masi, American Red Cross Northwestern Pennsylvania Executive Director. “Like the Red Cross, Erie Insurance understands the value of creating safer and more resilient communities, ones that are better prepared for and are more capable of responding to emergency situations whenever they occur.”
Erie Insurance has been a longtime supporter of the American Red Cross, and this gift to mark the Red Cross’ centennial year further strengthens their commitment to making a positive impact in the local community.
