Dr. Daniel P. Martinez is the Executive Director of the Greater San Antonio Chapter of the American Red Cross, where he leads operations that support over 2 million residents across the region. Guided by a deep commitment to service, he has strengthened the organization’s visibility, built meaningful community partnerships, and advanced initiatives that foster resilience and preparedness. His leadership has also been instrumental in recruiting and mentoring diverse leaders, including the chapter’s first Latina Board Chair, ensuring that the Red Cross reflects and uplifts the communities it serves.
With a career spanning education and nonprofit leadership, Dr. Martinez is recognized for his ability to bring people together around shared purpose and impact. Named a 40 Under 40 honoree by the San Antonio Business Journal and honored by the City of Houston with a proclamation for his contributions to public service, he continues to champion growth, inclusion, and empowerment through his work. Dr. Martinez holds a Doctorate in Education with a focus on Leadership and Administration from Saint Louis University, where his research explored adaptive leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic.
