This week’s #CSTR Volunteer Spotlight shines on Joi Sanders of the Hill Country Chapter.
Joi has been an indispensable member of the Hill Country Chapter Board of Directors going on five years, and she’s made a real impact on the chapter’s operations in the area. For example, she was on the ground to help during the destructive floods near Kerrville in July. “I work hard to recruit volunteers,” says this Air Force Veteran, “and I’ve done a lot of fundraising.”
Joi formerly was a teacher. Nowadays, she owns and runs a restaurant complex in Pikes Creek, TX. So you’ll find it no surprise that this humanitarian brings the right recipe to our region. “I just like helping people, plus the Red Cross helped me when I was in the Air Force.”
Joi was named chairperson of the board two years ago. It’s a well-deserved position, so thank you, Joi, for your exemplary dedication to the Red Cross mission.
