U.S. Virgin Islands – July 28, 2020 – The National Hurricane Center has issued a Tropical Storm Warning for the U.S. Virgin Islands for Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine (formerly Invest 92-L), forecast to bring tropical storm conditions to the Territory starting tomorrow. The American Red Cross of the Virgin Islands is preparing to respond and urges residents in the path of this storm to get ready now.
Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine is expected to produce heavy rains and potentially life-threatening flash
flooding and mudslides. In the Territory, the Red Cross is coordinating closely with government partners to support urgent needs of people affected by the storm.
