Get Involved with the National Collegiate Assembly
The National Collegiate Assembly (NCA) is a network of Collegiate Red Cross Clubs and their Chapters. This network facilitates communication and builds partnerships among collegiate Red Cross volunteers within its six divisions across the nation via monthly Connect Calls, division-wide engagement projects, and inter-collegiate partnerships.

Mission of the National Collegiate Assembly
The NCA allows the Red Cross to demonstrate the capability of collegiate Clubs, to fully integrate the Red Cross mission into all Club activities, to contribute to the success of national initiatives, and to track the impact of Club activities.
Vision of the National Collegiate Assembly
The work of the NCA shall be to:
Communicate and network to create a support structure between Chapter-Club units in each division. Collect, write, and distribute resources, toolkits, and best practices from across the division and distribute them throughout the country.
Facilitate and catalyze national initiatives. Help to interconnect Red Cross Clubs and their Chapter units to each other.
Foster and Support new collegiate Clubs and kickstart newly forming collegiate Clubs with mentorship and support from the National Youth Council.
Objectives of the National Collegiate Assembly
Communicate via slack and Connect Calls with support from the National Youth Council and National Collegiate Officers from each division.
Encourage participation in division-wide events by coordinating and promoting remote or in-person activities during the same time.
Encourage Clubs to register on Volunteer Connection. This online tool provides a great way to share Club information and search for Clubs within the division.
Promote collaboration to enhance collegiate volunteering opportunities across the nation across all Lines of Service in the American Red Cross.
Audience of the National Collegiate Assembly
Collegiate Red Cross Club student leadership, Club advisors, regional Red Cross engagement teams, and anyone else interested in supporting collegiate volunteerism are encouraged to participate on our Connect Calls!
Join a Connect Call
Connect Calls are designed to facilitate student networking and the sharing of best practices through spotlighting unique ways to volunteer, highlighting pre-professional Red Cross opportunities, or even introducing pilot-study opportunities for college clubs to sign up for. These calls will be held bi-monthly on pre-planned dates set by the NCA by the beginning of each semester.
Mentorship and Staying Connected Nationally
For college Clubs to best connect with their region and the NCA, there will be at least 1 National Collegiate Officer (NCO) in their division that will be a resource for them. The NCO will act as a liaison between collegiate clubs in their respective regions and the NCA, providing mentorship and advice for club recruitment, retention, opportunities, and other initiatives.
The crux of the NCA's function is supported by National Collegiate Officers (NCOs), collegiate volunteers supporting, liaising, and engaging with collegiate volunteers within their respective divisions. While NCOs from our 6 divisions in the Red Cross engage with the forefronts of collegiate volunteerism, they benefit from direct support from the National Youth Council, pre-professional engagement opportunities, and many more!
