What is the Youth and Young Adult Ambassador Program?

The FY25 Youth and Young Adult Ambassador Program is a unified initiative designed to empower youth (under 18 years old) and young adults (18–24 years old) within the American Red Cross. This program expands the Field Ambassador (FA) program and brings in the National Collegiate Assembly (NCA) program, aligning them to enrich the volunteer lifecycle at all ages and stages. Ambassadors will be regionally based and work closely with national campaigns to maximize their impact.

We are looking for one youth and one young adult ambassador from each region to be a part of this year's cohort. The goal is to create leadership opportunities for young volunteers, enhancing their transition through different life stages and ensuring ongoing involvement with National Youth Council initiatives. The program also aims to foster a collaborative environment where ideas can be shared and developed across regions.

What are the responsibilities of a Youth and Young Adult Ambassador?

Ambassadors will be responsible for supporting regional priorities while also engaging with national campaigns. They will work on regional projects and be involved in National Youth Council initiatives. The project may involve executing a region-wide campaign or strengthening existing regional structures. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in the promotion and execution of national campaigns, ensuring timely communication and dissemination of materials
