“When I was an Army nurse in Germany, the American Red Cross helped me get home to be with my family when my grandmother passed away. It seems like such a small thing, but it’s so important— when family members need to get home, they need to get home.”
Eileen Perra has been a dedicated volunteer since leaving the military. She is also a blood donor and a member of the Tiffany Circle, a community of female philanthropic leaders committed to advancing our mission.
Eileen says she stays with the Red Cross because of the mission and the people.
“As a volunteer, you don’t think you’re doing much, but you truly are. Everybody has their own little gift to bring to the Red Cross. All these little gifts are a big present.”
